So I've officially got Audacity, and my headset and netbook love it very much. Unfortunately, I am completely rubbish at reading my own stuff. I get tongue tied and hilarious. I haven't shouted "OH, COCK IT!" quite so many times in one day in forever. I have tremendous respect for the TW cast now for getting through WHOLE BOOKS.

Abridged books, and probably not in one take, but still.

Sort of liberating, actually.

Anyway, I spent about an hour fighting with "One Calamity" (because it got two straight-up votes and one "anything porn" vote) and realized that maybe I needed to start a little smaller. So.

Here's me reading "Naughtiness High On The Catalogue of Grave Sins" from last year's horizonssing challenge instead. It's short, sweet, and not bad practice.

It was the strength of the sunlight through the window that forced Ianto out of his sleep at half eleven in the morning. It wasn't exactly early, but then again he hadn't gone to sleep till nearly half-past three. He rolled away from the sunlight and towards Jack, hoping to find a warm pair of arms to settle into. But Jack's arms were not where he expected them to be, and he frowned when he found his side of the bed cold and empty. He sat up, rubbed his eyes and slipped out from the warmth of the duvet, then pulled on his shorts and a t-shirt before making his way out of the bedroom. Ianto followed the aroma of strong coffee that wafted along the hallway until it led him to the kitchen.

Tomorrow's my day off. I'm planning to use it for all kind of lift-related things, like trying to finish off the last of the charityfic, replying to comments, etc.

If I have time, though, I'd like to use my shiny new headset to commit podfic.

okay, so i was going to post part 35 of Just Like A Jones tonight, but after a solid hour of TRYING to post it it just wont work! having a problem with the formatting thing... its all just coming out as a block of text so ill try tomorrow. I've had it ready since yesterday too...

Jack leaned against the tiles in the shower and let the hot water cascade over him. He had been in there for a little longer than he should have been, maybe half an hour or so, and his fingers had started to crinkle. His mind had been working overtime, running through memories in his head, and set him into a daze as he concentrated on the greying grout between the tiles. He really hadn't thought too much about Rhiannon, not since Ianto had come back to him, but now that he did he wasn't sure what to do. He had spent so long telling her that Ianto wasn't coming back, that he hadn't even started to think about how he would tell her that he was.
